In 1365, the associate degree in agricultural affairs was opened in Yasouj Technical College. In 1372, with the establishment of an agricultural school in the Yasouj Higher Education Complex, two majors at the associate level, including animal production and vegetable production, were accepted and trained under the supervision of Shiraz University.The first course in the master's degree was agriculture, which was opened in 2004 with the admission of 4 students. In line with the development of the faculty, in 1385, the field of plant medicine and in 1390, the fields of forestry, pasture and watershed management were launched at the undergraduate level. Currently, the Faculty of Agriculture, in addition to the above-mentioned fields, in the fields of agricultural entomology, plant pathology, soil science, rural development, animal science, forestry, plant breeding, nematology, animal breeding, agricultural promotion, and seed science and technology. A master's degree trains students. The number of undergraduate students is about 1000 and the master's level is about 220. Since October 2011, doctoral courses have been launched in the fields of agricultural development and crop physiology, and currently the number of students in this field has reached 13. This faculty intends to expand the fields required in the undergraduate and graduate level according to the existing potential in terms of faculty members, laboratory facilities and regional priorities.
